I have been working as newborn photographer for 6 years. I am recently move in New York City from Ecuador. I specialize in the art of newborn, maternity and family photography. I am also a mom to one beautiful girl. I really love capturing their tiny little features and making hear melting memories for you and your family. Capturing the memories of your baby in their first days is too precious. What to know before doing a photoshoot?
Recommendation
The goal is for the baby to be and stay asleep during the photoshoot. The few hours leading up to the shoot, please try to keep your newborn engaged and tired. If possible, we ask that you please feed and change the baby right before your session to avoid feeding during the shoot. Please dress them in large and easy-to-remove clothes so we don’t upset the baby while changing outfits. It would be helpful for us if you avoid scheduling vaccinations and/or other potential causes of stress before coming to the photoshoot.
Important
We will try to keep the baby asleep by moving them very gently. Please supervise and stay near your child during the whole photoshoot, you may be asked to hold a prop, or pull in and out the pacifier in between shots if the baby is fussy. While I focus on taking beautiful photos, I ask that you please focus on your child’s wellbeing. The more relaxed you are, the better your baby will feel: happy parents, happy baby.
The best time to book you newborn session
Please book your appointment early to ensure that we have a space for you. Most clients book two to three months in advance. The Newborn Retainer allows you to save a spot in my schedule while you decide which package you prefer. I recommend that the photoshoot takes place within the 2 first weeks of your baby’s life when your baby is sleepy, small and flexible for cute poses. Please try to book during that time to ensure the best results, however if you have passed that time, don’t worry, I will be able to deliver beautiful photos of your child regardless! Our newborn sessions are customized for babies up until eight months.
Newborn at home
On-site shoots are available for Complete and Deluxe Sessions, in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. Please inquire about a custom travel fee if you are based elsewhere.
Newborn
Newborn session in the convenience of your home with our small studio setup (includes an assortment of props in different colors and styles as well as lighting, backdrops and flooring designed for your newborn). A few lifestyle sibling and/or parent pictures can also be photographed. Package includes your choice of 8 digital images from a variety of poses and looks in your gallery. Additional images may be purchased.
